I'm Yamil, a photographer based in the Netherlands with 10+ years behind the camera.

I believe the best photographs happen when people forget they're being photographed. That's why I work documentary-style, observing, waiting, and capturing life as it unfolds. Whether I'm at an event, on a portrait session, or out in nature, my job is to stay out of the way and bring back images that feel real.

Over the past decade I've photographed people and places across the Netherlands, from intimate portraits to large-scale events. I'm drawn to natural light, honest expressions, and the quiet details that tell a bigger story.

When I'm not shooting people, I'm out in the Dutch landscape, the dunes, the polders, the forests. It keeps my eye sharp and my work grounded.
